Overview: The Fair Trade Coffeehouse is located just a couple blocks from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. We just happened to stumble upon this place while we were exploring the city. They have a wide range of food and drink options for vegetarians and vegans, or for those who are just looking for more natural, preservative-free ingredients.
Menu: They serve fair trade certified coffee and espresso along with panini sandwiches, soups, and house-made pastries and desserts. I tried the Zucchini Muffin and it was unbelievable. It was so sweet and moist, and was covered in a cinnamon-oat streusel topping. The Vegan bar was made up of peanut butter and chocolate. It was very rich in flavor and super delish! I can’t comment on their coffee because I didn’t have a chance to try it.
Favorite Item(s): I’ve never tried a muffin that was more delicious than this zucchini muffin. I couldn’t get enough of it. I loved it!
Rating: I really enjoyed both of the items I tried at this spot. They were so delicious! Fair Trade also had a nice quiet ambience and the staff was pretty friendly. Even though I didn’t get a chance to try their coffee, I still had a really good experience.
