Hi! My name is Evelyn, I am 24 years old, and passionate about living a healthy & happy life. A week in my life typically consists of blogging, doing yoga, experimenting in the kitchen, and trying out new vegan restaurants with my fiancé.

So, why am I doing this? Becoming vegan is the best decision I have ever made. It has definitely changed my life and it continues to do so! Once I realized what I was doing to my body, I became aware of a lot of other things such as the cruel practices in factory farming and how that contributes to the majority of environmental issues we face today. It has really opened my eyes and I’ve started questioning a lot of things that people would consider “normal”. I strongly believe that if we treat ourselves and our bodies with respect by nourishing ourselves properly, our bodies will reward us in return. There’s no need to count calories, watch our weight, or “diet” if we maintain a healthy lifestyle. If we fuel our bodies with the proper nutrients and vitamins, then we will be able to work more productively and efficiently in all other areas of our lives. I mean, how can we expect to take care of all these other things, if we cannot take care of ourselves? We truly deserve it!

Why the name, Vegan Simplified? Many of our struggles can be overcome by following very simple formulas but our minds tend to overcomplicate things. So, I hope I can simplify the “vegan lifestyle” by sharing some tips, my favorite recipes, and vegan-friendly restaurants. I am not an expert by any means. I’m just sharing what I know and if you don’t agree with some of the things I have to say, that’s totally fine. But if I can assist at least a handful of you so that you can avoid making the same mistakes I have made, then that would be amazing :)
